Sophomore Magazine Issue 1

The debut issue of Sophomore Magazine is out now and I’m happy to have been a part of it. I was flattered when my fellow Ryerson University alumni asked me to take part in the feminist, fashion magazine they were launching by posing for a cover back in February. Since then I’ve watched the publication grow to where it is now in its finished form. It’s so inspiring to watch a group of people set a goal and achieve it. Earlier in the summer I was interviewed by Golden Boy Press and I love how it turned out so I’d love to share some of my favorite parts here discussing life, my work, social media, feminism, and more.

What’s your life philosophy?  How do you try to apply that to your work?
I’m still developing my life philosophy, actually. I suppose one keeps developing a life philosophy until they die, and I still have a lot more living to do. But lately my philosophy has been all about honing and trusting my intuition. Whether it’s about a new job, a person, anything. I’m always striving to follow the navigation of my inner compass. When it comes to my work, I try to do what feels right. It’s usually been the projects where I didn’t speak up when I should have or didn’t do things my way that I end up not liking.
