As February draws to a close I can’t help but notice the days getting warmer and longer. I’m starting to feel both my wardrobe and I slowly draw out of hibernation and I’m so excited to feel the sun’s rays on my skin.
Spring is that time to shed your layers and embrace bare skin. There’s something about an all white look that just feels so
godly fresh and I love that. I love the modern, bohemian style of this look from Zara. The volume on the top is complimented by the wide legged pants culminating in a loose, relaxed silhouette.
Take a cue from the photo set below and rediscover a natural, clean aesthetic. Breathe in the fresh air. Find new paths.

You’ve heard the song a hundred times by now. You’ve seen the behind-the-scenes snapchats and preview pics. But what you don’t know is that just out of the range of the camera’s fogged up lens, I was standing there on the set of Rihanna’s “Work” music video featuring Drake.
In my about page, I talk about how in real life, I work as a fashion stylist. I go into more detail about that on my portfolio. Whether I’m the lead on set or I’m assisting another, more established stylist, I’ve had the pleasure of working for some pretty amazing clients like The Globe and Mail, Elite Model Management, Aldo, Joe Fresh, Toronto Fashion Week, and so many other awesome brands and businesses. However, I recently had the opportunity to add Rihanna to my list of clients and this project has gone to the top of my list of favorites.
On February 1st I received a message telling me about a casting call looking for dancers for a Rihanna and Drake music video. While I didn’t attend it, my interest was definitely piqued. Two days later I was invited to join the wardrobe team for the video and I immediately cleared my schedule. Two days later the adventure began.

Hey guys! I apologize for being gone for over a week now. If I told you everything I’ve been working on then you’d completely understand. From working a ton lately (including a music video for a certain pop superstar I mentioned on IG), to celebrating All-Star Weekend/Valentine’s Day in Toronto, to now finding myself in NYC for the second half of the Fall/Winter 2016 season of New York Fashion Week. This is my first time here for NYFW and I really wanted to make the most of the shows and events I was able to get access to.
I love free stuff so discovering the TRESemme Runway Studio at Spring Studios in Manhattan was perfect for me. At first I wasn’t even planning on getting anything done, I just wanted to take a look around. However, after meeting the photographer there who expressed an interest in wanting to shoot me, he convinced me to change up my ‘do. I came in with two cornrows I had hurriedly done on my way out the door and left with four neatly plaited rows expertly braided by a very friendly hairstylist named Kiki. While she worked we chatted about where each of us is from (She’s from Boston but lives in Florida now), the recent airing of this year’s Grammy Awards, and her favorite types of hairstyles to do on clients. Check out my collage below for the play-by-play pics.

I’ve always had an affinity for lingerie. Something about intricate lace, smooth satin, and delicate fishnets really puts me in touch with my feminine side. While walking in Toronto’s West Queen West neighborhood I found there was always one store that instantly stopped me every time I’d approach it.
The mannequins in the display window of Kallone Intimi have a sultry, mesmerizing quality about them. They definitely live up to the store’s name, meaning “beauty” in ancient Greek. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I decided who better to teach me a few things and get me in the spirit than store owner, Rachel Avery.

T-minus 12 days until Valentine’s Day! Are you excited? I’ve always been a romantic so I’m definitely looking forward to it. So much so that I’ve decided to put together a three part series in celebration of the holiday, with this being part 1. Let’s talk makeup.
For a long time I was a huge makeup junkie. One of my favorite high school past times was taking a leisurely stroll to one of my neighborhood beauty supply stores and checking out all the products, testing some, and possibly leaving with a few new pieces to add to my ever growing collection. I wore eye shadows, liners, glitter, and polish regularly.
These days my daily makeup routine consists only of mascara. When I feel like dressing up a bit more I’ll dust on some blush and highlighter. But every now and then I like to switch up my look more considerably and that is where lip color comes in. Lip color is quick and high impact. In one minute you can instantly make your lips the center of attention and that’s why I often opt for lipstick when I want to make a change.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to tap into that extra girly side of yourself and experiment with makeup. On a whim I picked up these three lip shades and thought now would be the perfect time to do some swatches and mini reviews. For the sake of the swatches below I used no other products like lip primer, liner, etc.
