Toronto International Film Festival 2015

Every year around this time Toronto hosts many big-name celebs and rising stars alike for the annual Toronto International Film Festival. Many movies make their premieres with there being over 300 screenings from more than 60 countries. Outside of the box office, the city is full of star-studded, red carpet events. This year TIFF is running from September 10th – 20th. While I don’t think I’ll be catching a movie this year, I did have the chance to attend one of the hottest, most talked-about parties of the season.

Hangloose Media partnered up with ACTRA Toronto to present The Studio District Film Party. Laid out in a big, open, industrial-style building, this party was such a blast to attend! We started out by walking the red carpet and after that entered the party that included many separate activities for partygoers such as a screening room, a Canadiana-themed photo booth also sponsored by Roots Canada, a bar, two dancefloors, a candy station (yum!), a food truck, and of course a swag room to pick up a few complimentary goodies on your way out. We had a blast spending a few hours partying it up and rubbing shoulders with the film industries finest. Highlights of the night for me included the red carpet (lol, of course), and the super cool DJ/drummer HeyDW. During a remix of Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” she hopped out from behind her laptop, hopped into her set of drums, and started doing a drum solo on top of the music. Basically, there was cool stuff happening at every turn.

My entire look was a steal at around $75 for my backless, lace dress by Missguided and my camel pumps by J Crew.
